Tofino Photographer Jacqueline Windh

Jacqueline Windh has been photographing nature and wildlife since she received her first camera at age eleven. She has been photographing the outdoors in 35 mm format for sixteen years. Her photographs have been published internationally in magazines and newspapers, as cards and postcards, and for advertising use.

Jacqueline has spent over ten years photographing the Clayoquot–Pacific Rim in all its seasons and moods, studying its history and getting to know its people.

Her latest book is a guide to this region that she has come to know so well. In it Jackie shares her secrets about travelling around the region.Whether the reader is in search of a campsite under the stars or a five-star hotel, the locals’ favourite diner or fine international cuisine, mellowing out on a quiet beach walk or being pampered in a world-class spa it’s covered. “I have come across many who came out here and missed out on some of the key west coast experiences.

With this new guidebook, I hope to give you an inside look at the Pacific Rim-a little bit of background and history to enrich your visit, as well as some of my own hints about favourite places, where to go and what to see.”
