Whalefest is coming!

We love February because it's not January. We love it because it's a whole month of... love. But February is especially great because it's only one month before the 22nd annual Pacific Rim Whale Festival--a fun week of over 75 events that will inspire, educate, and raise your spirit, while honouring the migration of thousands of grey whales past our shores on their journey north toward the Bering Sea.Pssst, check out this sneak preview of events taking place in Tofino, Ucluelet, and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve...
Nuu-chah-nulth ethnographer and carver Ron Hamilton will speak of the lifestyle history of the coastal First Nations, and the Ucluelet Aquarium will be popping up in different spots up the coast with its sensational touch tanks! Tofino's finest mixologists will shake and stir their best at the 3rd annual Martini Migration, and there's also the family-friendly Chowder Chowdown. Kicking off the Festival is the annual fundraising gala and silent auction at the Wickaninnish Inn, one week early on March 6th. Tickle your taste buds, bid on some great items and get a chance to recuperate before the Festival begins!
One of the most amazing things about this festival is that it's put together by a great team of volunteers--and we're looking for creative minds, helpful hands, and official organizers for this celebration of coastal life.
